Grant Funding Terms & Conditions
These terms govern the provision of grants by Helensburgh Events & Reinvestment Trust (HEART) to successful applicants. By submitting an application and accepting a grant, you agree to comply with the following terms.
1. Eligibility Criteria
1.1. Applicants: Grants are available to local organisations, groups, charities, and projects that benefit the Helensburgh & Lomond community.
1.2. Types of Projects Funded:
- Projects that support community life and enhance community facilities.
- One-off capital costs such as the purchase of equipment or materials.
- Events or initiatives that benefit a significant portion of the community.
1.3. Projects Not Typically Funded:
- Purchase of sports uniforms or kits for teams.
- Funding for individual travel, including school leavers' international trips.
- Ongoing operational or running costs of organisations.
2. Application Process
2.1. Funding Windows: Applications must be submitted in a designated funding window which are publicised on our website.
2.2. Submission: Applications must be submitted through our official Online Application Form within the designated funding window.
2.3. Required Information: Applicants must provide complete and accurate information, including project details, funding amount requested, and how the project will benefit the community.
2.4. Assessment: All applications will be reviewed based on their alignment with HEART's mission and funding priorities. Due to limited funds, not all applications can be supported.
3. Use of Funds
3.1. Purpose: Grant funds must be used solely for the purpose detailed in your application.
3.2. Restrictions: Funds must not be used for purposes that were not specified in the application or fall under the categories we typically do not fund.
3.3. Changes: Any significant changes to the project's scope, timeline, or budget must be communicated to HEART and may require approval.
4. Financial Accountability
4.1. Records: Maintain accurate financial records relating to the grant and the project.
4.2. Evidence of Expenditure: Provide invoices, receipts, or other documentation upon request.
4.3. Unused Funds: Any unused funds or funds not used in accordance with the grant agreement must be returned to HEART.
5. Monitoring & Reporting
5.1. Progress Updates: Provide regular updates on the project's progress as requested.
5.2. Final Report: Submit a final report upon project completion, detailing outcomes, impact, and how funds were utilised.
5.3. Site Visits: HEART may request site visits to monitor the project's progress.
6. Publicity & Acknowledgement
6.1. Acknowledgement: Acknowledge HEART's support in any publicity or promotional materials related to the funded project.
6.2. Consent to Publicity: Agree that HEART may feature your project in our publicity materials, including our website and social media.
7. Compliance
7.1. Legal Compliance: Comply with all relevant laws and regulations, and obtain necessary permits or licences.
7.2. Policies: Adhere to any additional policies or requirements specified by HEART.
8. Liability
8.1. Responsibility: You are responsible for the project and any liabilities arising from it.
8.2. Insurance: Ensure appropriate insurance coverage is in place for project activities.
9. Termination & Repayment
9.1. Termination: HEART reserves the right to terminate the grant if you fail to comply with these Terms and Conditions.
9.2. Repayment: In case of termination or misuse of funds, you may be required to repay the grant in full or in part.
10. Data Protection
10.1. Privacy: HEART will handle your personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
10.2. Use of Information: Information provided may be used for grant administration, monitoring, evaluation, and promotional purposes.
11. Acceptance of Terms
11.1. Agreement: By submitting an application, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
11.2. Entire Agreement: These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between you and HEART regarding the grant.
