Transparency & Accountability

As a registered Scottish charity, we're committed to operating with full transparency and following best practices in governance.

About Our Charity Status

HEART is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO), a legal form specifically designed for charities in Scotland. This gives us a separate legal identity while providing limited liability protection for our trustees.

Being a SCIO means we're regulated by the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR), ensuring we meet the required standards for Scottish charities.
