The Helensburgh and District Round Table has been actively involved in promoting sports and supporting local projects for many years.
Recently, we donated £720 to the Helensburgh Netball Club to help them purchase new tops for the 2023/2024 season.
The money was raised through various events that the Round Table holds throughout the year. The Round Table's yearly events include The Beer & Gin Festival in May, the Wine Festival, The Fireworks, The Burns Dinner and the Santa Dash. These events are not only fun and entertaining for the local community, but they also serve a greater purpose by raising funds for important causes such as supporting local sports groups like the Helensburgh Netball Club.
The Beer & Gin Festival, which is the our next event, is scheduled to take place on the 19th and 20th of May at the Civic Centre in Helensburgh. The festival is expected to attract more than 2,000 people who will come to enjoy live music, a large variety of Gin, Ales, cocktails, Prosecco, and delicious food.
Our support for the Helensburgh Netball Club is just one example of their commitment to the community. They have also supported other sports groups including many football teams.
"We hope to encourage more people to take up sports and get involved in their local community. By providing funds and support to these groups, we are helping to create a stronger and more vibrant community in Helensburgh."
